EU Taxonomy
EU classification system that classifies economic activities according to their ‘environmental impact’. The taxonomy is designed to support businesses make the transition to a more sustainable economy. It also helps to channel investment into sustainable economic activities.
The taxonomy covers six environmental objectives:
- Climate change
- Adaptation to climate change
- Sustainable use and protection of water and marine resources
- Transition to a circular economy
- Prevention and reduction of pollution
- Protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems
At uvex
From 2026 onwards, uvex will also report according to taxonomy criteria in its sustainability report. This will ensure greater transparency regarding the ecological impact of the uvex group’s economic activities.
