Your lecturer: Dr. Klaus Bescherer-Nachtmann

Dr. Klaus Bescherer-Nachtmann has been an integral part of the uvex academy since 2016. As a trainer for laser safety, his work focuses primarily on artificial optical radiation in the field of lasers and laser safety.

Professional experience

  • 5 years as a product manager and developer for large-area laser protection
  • Trainer in the field of laser protection since 2016
  • since 2017 Member of the standards committee of the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies GK 841 "Optical radiation safety and laser equipment"
  • since 2021 Laser safety officer for uvex at the Fürth site

Qualifikation

  • Doctorate in Chemistry (Queen's University, Kingston, ON, CA)
  • Product manager and developer (2015-2021)
  • Laser safety trainer since 2016
  • Teaching certificates of the “Certificate Program in University Teaching and Learning (PUTL)”: Certificate I: Foundations and Certificate II: Practical Experience, Queen's University, Kingston, ON, CA
  • Holder of specialist knowledge for the inspection and assessment of workplace lighting (2023) and for the risk assessment of artificial non-coherent optical radiation (2024)
