Since 2010, the uvex group board of management has structured the sustainable commitment of all brands both internally and externally. What we have already achieved has been standard practice for the uvex group for many years and is part of our Established Sustainability.
Our ethical compass for everyday work with behaviours and principles on how we shape our actions and our decision-making in a manner that is legally correct, but also ecologically sustainable and socially responsible.
Our social standard provides ethical principles for working with business partners and their employees, suppliers, representatives and subcontractors based on agreements of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations (UN) and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
The uvex group does not use any substances hazardous to health in accordance with the REACH regulation and has also enforced its own list of restricted substances. It is the policy of the uvex group to offer only products that contain as few harmful substances as possible and that do not pose a risk to either the user or the environment. The uvex safety group applies the most stringent criteria that exceed the applicable EU directives, especially for products that come into contact with the wearer's skin, such as PPE.
