Safety gloves (uvex safety gloves)

Increased energy consumption can be attributed to the expansion of warehouse space in logistics. Rising water consumption is the consequence of increased production in robot cells and the implementation of a hygiene concept at the Rubiflex plants. A small proportion is also due to the expansion of warehouse space in logistics. Increased waste volume can be put down to a higher reject rate and dismantling measures in place at the obsolete Rubiflex plants as well as the expansion of warehouse space in logistics.

Safety glasses (uvex Arbeitsschutz)

Primary energy is mainly used to heat the rooms. Due to the sharp rise in production figures with only slightly increased primary energy consumption, the relative consumption decreases. The sharp rise in production figures and installation of the new energy-efficient flood cell 11 has led to an increase in the overall efficiency of the plant, thereby also reducing the relative consumption. With the installation of an energy-efficient adiabatic free-cooling system for production processes, there has been an increase in the consumption of water. Due to the increased quality of continuously running systems in the flood cells, less waste is produced. Another aspect behind the reduction in waste figures is the phasing out of the old Optidur line, for which the reject rate was comparatively high.

The secondary energy is used to a large extent for heating the rooms, due to lower production figures, the relative consumption therefore increases. The lower water consumption can be explained by the move to a new building.

Safety goggles and helmets (uvex Kunshan)

Increased production numbers have reduced relative water consumption. The immensely increased production resulted in more waste from the sprues in the injection molding machines. In addition, a large amount of scrap from the warehouse was sold to a recycling company.
